Description
NA The United States Army Yuma Proving Ground, (USAYPG), AZ intends to negotiate Encore Real Time Computing, Incorporated 729 Wind willow Way, Simi Valley, California 93065-6665 on an other than full and open competition basis. The contract requirement is fo r a server system consisting of six (6) each Pentium processors, to include a Pentinum-4P LCRS and a Pentium-2P RTE Server, 3 PCIRMS Boards and cables, network interfaces, 2 PCI-RTOM hardware interfaces and software packages, four disk drives, the LCRS Sub -system hardware/software package and the RTE System Server software package. This system will replace the existing legacy Encore computer system currently operating the Real-time data Processing system. Encore is the original equipment manufacturer and integrator of the LCRS sub-system and RTE system server and possesses the proprietary schematics and specifications to emulate the current legacy equipment to meet the form, fit and function of USAYPG?s Real-time Data Processing system. All technical data relative to the system is proprietary to Encore Real Time Computing. Interested parties may submit technical literature showing their capability to meet the Government?s requirement no later than close of business 25 April 2002. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely f or the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. See Note 22, with the exception that the time period for the receipt of proposals for consideration is 15 days instead of 45 days.
