- Description
- The Department of Energy plans to award a sole source contract to the operator of the low-level radioactive waste (LLW) facility, U.S. Ecology, Inc. This scope of work encompasses data collected by U.S. Ecology, Inc., in their normal course of business. Radioactive waste generators, collectors, brokers, and processors all are required to provide the data to the disposal sites on LLW Shipment Manifests and other documentation that must accompany the shipments. U.S. Ecology will be providing specific data about all shipments received for disposal at their site, including shipments from DOE sites. This data need exists from the date of contract award through September 30, 2006. The contract will be firm fixed price for a five year period. There will be no formal Request for Quote issued for this action. See CBD Note: 22
