- Description
- The Missile Defense Agency (MDA) intends to award follow-on cost-reimbursable contract to Heery International, Inc. on a sole-source basis for facilities configuration services, project management, and relocation management support at Federal Office Building 2 (FOB2), Polk Building (National Center 2), Taylor Building (National Center #3), or other locations designated as relocation facilities for MDA. Heery International is intimately familiar with the MDA?s facilities requirements. MDA is required to initiate immediate planning necessary to relocate personnel (about 3,000 personnel) and functions to another facility located in close proximity to the Pentagon as early as December 2003. The contract is for time-sensitive, highly specialized services involving on-going relocation planning within FOB2 as well as possible new locations such as National Center 2 and National Center 3. These services include field verification of existing architectural conditions in National Center 2 and National Center 3 in Crystal City, Virginia and development of block and stacking plans for approximately 1,000,000 square feet of space; development of required schematic and concept drawings necessary for preparation of demolition plans, floor plans, telephone and data plans, reflected ceiling plans, and finish schedules; and development of an outline of construction performance specifications and requirements and budget estimates for tenant fit-out construction based on concept drawings. The period of performance is from April 2002 to March 2007. The estimated total value of orders under to be issued under the contract is between $5 and $10 million dollars.
