- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number N00164-02-Q-0137 is hereby issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-04 as well as DCN 20020129. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 334511 and the size standard is 500 employees. This requirement is being issued on a sole-source basis to Knudsen Systems, Ogdensburg, NY. The items are for evaluation as to their suitability as interfaces with existing shipboard equipment for the following: CLIN 0001 ? 1 Each, Knudsen Echosounder, 320N Custom Prototype. Specifications: Operates at 12 KHz sounding frequency in conjunction with Navy?s TR-331/UQN or TR-355/UQN transducer. Has AN/UQN-4 compatible connectors and interfaces-transducer, NTDS, muting, sonar override, NAVSSI RS-422. Has also USB and Ethernet Interface. Supports up to 4 Knudsen Digital Remote Indicators. Echo sounding data stored on internal hard drive. Echo sounding data may be recorded on to external optional CD-R drive or printed out on external optional computer printer. Stored echo data can also be played back on sounder?s LCD screen. Has color touch LCD screen for echo sounder control and setup functions. Displays digital and or graphical depth data on build-in LCD screen. May be set to automatic operation or manual control. Operates from 120 VAC line voltage. Has 4000 fathom maximum sounding range. Has variable selec table keel depth compensation. Dimensions: W 16.5 inches, H 14 inches, D 9.5 inches, weighs less than 50 pounds. Delivery is required F.o.B. NSWC Crane, IN 47522 within 30 days after award. Final inspection will be at destination. Quotes that are non-compliant with any material requirement of this solicitation may be rejected without further consideration for award. This will be a firm fixed price contract and will be awarded utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The contractor shall extend to the Government the full coverage of commercial sale warranty provided such warranty is available at no additional cost to the Government. The offeror shall provide its Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code, Contractor Establishment Code and Tax Identification Number. To be eligible for award you must be properly registered in the Government's Central Contractor Registration (CCR). If a change occurs in this requirement, only those offerors that respond to this announcement within the required time frame will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award.
