Description
The Navy requires 85 each MK 77 MOD 0 Gas Generators. Four options (Fiscal Year 2003 ? 160 each; FY 2004 ? 155 each; FY 2005 ? 170 each; and FY 2006 - 247 each) totaling 732 each Gas Generators will be included. A firm-fixed-price contract is anticipated. These items will be used in support of submarine acoustic countermeasures. The Weapons System Explosives Safety Review Board (WSESRB) has certified the MK 77 MOD 0 Gas Generator for military use. The supplies shall be manufactured in accordance with NAVSEA product baseline drawing 6658796, Rev. G, to meet specification No. WS 27294, Rev. D, and NSWC Crane Statement of Work. A quantity of eight first articles may be required. The first articles will be subjected to destructive testing and will not be included in the production quantity. The Government reserves the right to waive first article testing for the successful offeror b ased on past contract history for MK 77 MOD 0 Gas Generators. The contractor shall meet the requirements of ANSI/ASQWC Q9001 or an equivalent quality system. The Government shall provide the Cap Assembly, Shipping, defined by drawing 53711-6986754, Rev. A, for the base contract quantity only. The contractor shall be responsible for all foam packaging and the shipping containers. Delivery of basic quantity is required within 365 days after contract award. Inspection and acceptance of the items will take place at origin with the items to be shipped to NSWC, Crane, IN 47522. The procurement will be structured for a greatest value award with price, past performance and possibly other factors considered. FAR Parts 12 and 13 procedures will not be used. NSWC Crane does not issue solicitations or amendments in paper form. Instead, they may be accessed at our web site at http://www.cra ne.navy.mil/supply/homepage.htm. An exact date for release of the solicitation is not yet established though it is expected to be released before 25 Apr 2002. Numbered Note 26 applies. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered.
