- Description
- The purpose of this notice is to inform interested parties that the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Patuxent River, Maryland, intends to issue an order under Basic Ordering Agreement, N00019-02-G-0350, on a sole source basis with Raytheon Company, 7700 Arlington Blvd., Falls Church, Virginia in support of the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Tactical Control Systems (TCS) program. The objective of this acquisition effort is to provide a site survey and subsequent report to document an approach for shipboard integration of the TCS with Predator capabilities for a NATO Nation LPD class Shipboard installation. The final report shall highlight all aspects and problems pertaining to this activity and recommend the optimum TCS configuration to be adopted in order to address the customer's present and future UAV needs. Raytheon Company is the only known source that possesses the peculiar engineering data, knowledge of TCS design and operation requirements, capability, and expertise required to successfully provide these supplies and services in an accurate and timely manner. The estimated period of performance is May 2002 through July 2002. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.
