- The solicitation will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov Website on or about April 25, 2002. TELEPHONE REQUESTS FOR THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. The National Park Service is soliciting for a firm-fixed price contract for rehabilitating the Glen Hardie Tree Screen located at Valley Forge National Historical Park located in Valley Forge, PA. Site is in Valley Forge National Hisorical Park along the park's southeastern boundary. A line of trees, consisting almost exclusively of white pines, approximately 4100 feet long and 60 feet wide (about 5.5 acres) was planted 30 years ago to act as a tree screen between the park and the Glen Hardie residential area. Tree height averages about 70 feet; tree diameter averages about 18 inches. Contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, equipment and materials to rehabilitate the Glen Hardie Tree Screen.
