Description

NA This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEM in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; pr oposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued for the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 33422. This is Sole-Source procurement per FAR 6.302-1(b)(1), only one responsible source. W.B. Walton Enterprises , Inc. of Riverside, CA, who is a small business, is the only source capable of meeting program requirements. W.B. Walton Enterprises is the manufacturer of the Hot Air Antenna Deicer System. However, all responsible sources may submit a proposal, which s hall be considered. It is requested that any such source notify the Contracting Officer of their intent to submit a proposal. In accordance with FAR 5.203(b), a response time of 15 days from date of publication is established. (24 April 2002.) ACQUISITION. This solicitation is a Request for Proposal (RFP) DAAB07-02-R-A783. The U.S. Army intends to procure the following item: Hot Air Antenna Deicer System, NSN 5985-01-323-4932, for a Quantity of one (1) each. Section B of the contract reads as follows: CLIN/SLIN Noun Quantity Amount (Contractor Fill in) 0001AA Fabricate, Test & Deliver 1 Antenna Deicer Model No. HD-1186A/GSC NSN: 5895-01-323-4932 in accordance with the Statement Of Work. 0001AB Installation and test of Antenna Deicer Model No. HD-1186A/GSC NSN: 5895-01-323-4932 in accordance with the Statement Of Work. Acceptance by PM DCATS Representative per Statement Of Work. 0001AC Shipment of Antenna Deicer Model No. HD-1186A/GSC NSN: 5895-01-323-4932. Contractor shall use commercial surface transportation. Shipment is to be FOB Destination. All items are to be shipped to XR WOPB 1110 SC BN CO E ULLS G, Trans Officer Ft. Belvoir, Bldg. 708 ANFB LGL M, Ft. Belvoir, VA 22060-5000. Mark For: POC: SFC V. Clancy (SATCOM) or SSGT Sloan (Maintenance), Tel: 703- 806-6547. Period of Performance shall be from date of award through 30 September 2002. Delivery/Installation of unit shall be not later than 8 July 2002. Packaging and Packing shall be in accordance with Standard Practice for Commercial Packaging (ASTM D 3951-98) for CONUS surface shipment IAW Statement of Work.
