- Description
- The Product Manager for Mortar Systems at the U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command, Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (TACOM-ARDEC), Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey, intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Mortars Consolidated Fire Control (ConFire) systems. The requirement includes the support of research, development, test and evaluation (RDT&E), limited production, full scale production, fielding, contractor logistics support (CLS) and software support activities associated with the 60mm, 81mm and 120mm Mortar Fire Control Systems. The fire control systems consolidated under this contract support mortar mounted operations, dismounted and vehicle supported operations. Sample tasks for evaluation include a mortar study, weapon pointing system, mortar light computer and production of a mortar fire control system. The planned period of performance is up to five years and is based on the award of an over-arching basic contract, to be followed by Delivery/Task Order requirements to be proposed, negotiated and awarded on a firm fixed price or labor-hour basis. Contractor efforts may include the personnel, management and technical services, facilities, equipment, materials and travel to accomplish each delivery order task and program integration. It is anticipated that this final solicitation will be issued by 30 April 2002 and will be available on the World Wide Web at the following adddress - http://procnet.pica.army.mil Hard copies of this solicitation will not be issued.
