Description
The synopsis is amended as follows: The Response Due Date is changed to 9 May 2002. The Defense Central Contract Registration site is changed to read www.ccr2000.com. The 12th Contracting Squadron will be requesting proposals from interested small business vendors for Transient Alert Services contract. The scope of work is as follows: The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, Follow Me vehicles, tools, materials, supplies, supervision, and all other items and services necessary to provide aircraft transient alert services to include management control, arrival services, processing services, and departure serves at Randolph Air Force Base TX. Contractors will be required to follow aircraft safety guidelines in accordance with Air Force Instructions and comply with Air Force OSHA standards. PERFORMANCE PERIOD: The government contemplates a basic contract period commencing 01 Oct 2002 through 30 Sep 2003 plus two (2) 12-month option and two (2) six -months options, for a total period of performance not to exceed 48 months. NOTE: Randolph AFB is conducting an OMB Circular A-76, Performance of Command Activities, study. The results of this study may impact the exercising of options. The government will utilize best value source selection procedures and will evaluate all option years when awarding the contract. All responsible sources may submit an offer. This is 100% set aside for small business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 488190 with a size standard of $5 million. Approximately annual workload estimates are 7800 arrival services, 4992 processing services and 7488 departure services. The draft SOW can be found at ww.eps.gov. Click on EPS for vendors. Then click on USAF-Offices, next click on Air Education and Training Command-Locations, next Randolph Contracting Squadron-posted dates. The solicitation will be posted at www.eps.gov on or about 22 Mar 02. In keeping with the Air Force paperless contracting initiative, the government does not intend to provide hard copies of the solicitation. A site visit is anticipated for approximately two weeks after solicitation issuance. It is the responsibility of all potential offerors to monitor www.eps.gov for release of any future solicitation.
