Description
VA Medical Center, Syracuse, NY is seeking qualified firms with the capacity and capability to provide wheelchair/invalid coach transportation services for the beneficiaries of VA Medical Center, Syracuse, NY. Work includes the performance of services as described in the specifications. North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 485991, Special Needs Transportation. Small business size standard is $6.0 million. This is a Total Small Business set aside. The period of performance is for a base period of nine months with two, one-year options. The total performance period will not exceed three years. Service to commence on or about July 1, 2002. Procurement made using FAR 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and source selection methods for awards. Attendance at a pre-proposal site visit tentatively scheduled for May 2, 2002 is considered essential. The solicitation and resultant contract award is subject to availability of current fiscal year funding. Solicitation packages will be available on or about April 15, 2002. Only written requests for the solicitation package will be accepted, telephone requests will not be honored. Written requests on company letterhead shall be submitted to the address listed above or faxed to 315-477-4508 and directed to the attention of Dana W. Ivey (670/2-90NCA). NOTE: this is NOT an RFP.
