Description
The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center has a requirement to procure the following Marine Hatches on a sole source basis from Eacco Marine. It is intended to award a purchase order to Eacco Marine, P.O. Box 423, Metairie, LA 70004-0423 for the following: (1) Stock Number 2040-01-293-5642, Hatch, marine, EACCO P/N BM21-8, quantity seven (7) each; and (2) Stock Number 2040-01-298-5741, Hatch, marine, EACCO P/N BM21-9A, quantity 15 each. It is the Government?s belief that only Eacco Marine, and/or their authorized distributors, can successfully manufacture these hatches. All technical and engineering data required to successfully manufacture these hatches is proprietary information to Eacco Marine, therefore, only the Eacco part numbers shall be accepted. No substitutes shall be considered at this time. This synopsis is issued pursuant to FAR 6.203-1 and TAM 1206.302. See Numbered Note 22. Interested sources that can provide the part numbers being requested may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the Agency. Responses to this notice are due by the close of business on 12 April 2002. Industry is hereby advised that the U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center is in the process of producing drawings to provide for full and open competition on all future procurements, however, the anticipated completion date does not accommodate fulfillment of the current number of backorders that exist. Award shall be made by the close of business on 16 April 2002. Delivery shall be F.O.B. Destination to the U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center, Columbia Warehouse Annex, 6751 Alexander Bell Drive, Columbia, MD 21046. Delivery shall be no later than 26 June 2002. Staggered deliveries are acceptable. The following notice is provided for informational purposes only: Minority, Women-Owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE's)! The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short Term Lending Program (STLP), offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
