- Description
- The Federal Highway Administration plans to award a purchase order to Hans Prechtl to design, fabricate and assemble several parts to the multi-hazard dynamic test model. The multi-hazard dynamic test model will be used to evaluate the combined impacts of wind flow, water flow, soil interactions and dynamic loading on bridge structure dynamics at the Turner-Fairbank Highway Research Center. Because of Hans Prechtl extensive experience working directly with researchers in the design and fabrication of specialized lab equipment without detailed specifications from the end users, this only known source that can provide this service. No other known source possesses the knowledge and expertise required to design, fabricate and assemble the multi-hazard dynamic test model. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the anticipated award date is on or about April 23, 2002.
