- Description
- The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, Center for Substance Abuse Treatment, through the Program Support Center, plans to award a 11-month sole source simplified acquisition to The National Center for Faith Initiatives(NCFBI), 2101 North Australian Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33407. The purpose of this requirement is to ensure that faith based and grassroots community organization received assistance and training that will enhance their knowledge about best treatment and prevention practices, grant writing, program evaluation and charitable choice implementation. NCFBI posses historical data on substance abuse treatment and are experienced in training and integrating leaders and members of faith based and community social service activities. The anticipated award date is May 15, 2002. The proposed Simplified Acquisition action is for Supplies and Services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of Far 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement within 10 days after the date of publication of notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed simplified acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
