- Public Notice is hereby given that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service proposes to award a concession contract at J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge located at Sanibel Island, Florida. The concession operation shall provide a minimum of one tram and conduct guided interpreted tram tours. The term of the proposed concession contract will be five (5) years with a five year renewal option. The concessioner will be required to pay the Service a dollar per adult passenger and a minimum franchise fee of 10% of the annual gross receipts. Since this is a new concession operation, there is no past records for gross receipts. The Service currently is seeking a legislative amendment that would change how revenue received from the concession operation is expended.
