Description
The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, intends to procure Clearing, Rock Excavation, and Construction of an Access Road and Building Pad for a future bunkhouse at the National Ocean Service, Kasitsna Bay Laboratory, near Seldovia, Alaska. The contractor shall provide all the labor, material, equipment, each and every item of expense, and construct the project which includes, clearing, rock excavation, fill, building pad, and related work. The length of the access road is approximately 400 feet. The building and parking lot pad is approximately 11,500 Sq.ft. The depth of rock excavation varies up to 26 feet deep. The resultant acquisition will be a firm fixed price purchase order under the FAR simplified acquisition procedures. Completion time for the project is 90 calendar days. Estimated construction cost is from $25,000 to $100,000. This is a total 100% small business set-aside. The NAICS code is 23411 and the business size is $27.5 million average annual receipts. Drawings, specifications and written quote documents will be available on or about May 1, 2002. Purchase order award is expected in late May 2002 with Notice To Proceed expected to be given in early June 2002. All responsible firms may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. All requests for the RFQ documents shall be in writing and may be faxed to 816-426-7530 Attn: Ron Anielak. One set of documents per requestor will be provided on a first come first served basis until exhausted.
