Description

USAID/Egypt intends to execute a modification to contract number 263-C-00-98-00067-00 with Chemonics Int., of 1133 20th St., NW, Suite 600 Washington, DC 20036. The modification will be implemented over a twelve month period and extend the current contract by the same period. The activities for the extension will continue to provide technical assistance and training to the same Egyptian capital market institutions including: the Capital Market Authority, The central Bank of Egypt, Misr Clearing, Settlement and Central Depository and industry associations. All tasks remain within the original scope of work namely: capital market legal and regulatory reform, institutional development, developing new financial instruments and automation. USAID/Egypt intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of AIDAR 706.302-70(b)(5). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received thirty days after publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed modification based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
