- Acquisition of Synchronizing Ring, NSN 2840-01-325-8744NZ, P/N 4074229-01, APPL to the F100PW229 Engine. A Requirements type contract is contemplated: 1st Yr BEQ is 12 each; 2nd Yr BEQ is 7 each and 3rd Yr BEQ is 7 each. All offers will be considered but the awardee must be qualified at the time of award. Award will not be held up pending review of source approval package from an unapproved source. Qualifications Requirements are available and will attached to the solicitation. Qualified source is Pratt & Whitney, East Hartford CT MFC 52661. Size/Dimensions: O.D. DIA APPROX 44.79 inches; I.D. DIA APPROX 42.50 inches; Approx 1.97 IN H TX 1.12 inches width. FIT/FORM/FUNCTION: AMS 4919 Titanium Alloy. PREDOMINANT MATERIAL OF MANUFACTURE: Synchronizing Ring is a component part of the -229 Augmentor Module. The Sync Ring controls the convergent segments by a series of interconnected connecting links. Actuators move the sync ring forward and rearward which increases and decreases nozzle throat area. Codes 22 and 23 apply. Not a commercial item-code 26.
