- Description
- 89-Subsistence The Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) Far East Commissaries, Western Pacific Region. Requirements are two fold: 1.) Supplies are purchased from the contractor to include transportation to the point of embarkation and transported via government transportation and 2.) for the Management and Operation of In-Store Deli/Bakeries (D/B) in Commissaries on overseas military installations in Government Owned Facilities. The in-store operations include 5 types of D/B operations (Opns), they are: a.) Full-scale D/B Opn; b.) Full-scale D/B Opn w/a Hot Foods Program; c.) Deli with a mini bakeshop; d.) Mini deli with thaw/serve bakery products and e.) Satellite locations which receive prepackaged products such as sandwiches, potato salad and the like. The required delivery schedule is 17 days from the order issue date to the point of embarkation. Award will be for a Requirements, fixed price with an economic price adjustment for cheese products plus in-store operations fee. Performance shall be for a base period of 12 months plus two, one-year option periods. Solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposal on or about May 20, 2002. Performance is scheduled to begin on September 1, 2002 that includes a 65-day orientation period. The SIC is 5499 & the NAICS code is 445299 for this requirement the size standard is $5,000,000. Solicitation is to be issued on an unrestricted basis. All requests for a copy of the solicitation must be in writing and should include the solicitation number as well as a complete name and address of the firm, business size status, point of contact, phone and facsimile numbers of the requestor or their designated representative. For the purpose of this solicitation, there is one group comprised of four countries. The stores and d/b operation type included in each country are: Type A: Guam 2, South Korea 1, Okinawa 4, Japan 1 Type B: Japan 2, South Korea 1, Type C: Japan 2, South Korea 1 Type D: Japan 3 Type E : Japan 4, South Korea 10 Based on market research, the Government is using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies and services. jacksor@hqlee.deca.mil
