- NA 99-MISCELLANEOUS This synopsis is for the purchase of a HD-6000 Cavity Degausser. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Th is announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request For Quote. The Government intends to award this requirement on a sole source basis to Da ta Security Inc., pursuant to FAR 6.302.1. Only One Responsible Source. Degausser must be capable of degaussing tapes up to 2500 Oersteds and hard drives up to 3000 Oersteds. Must operate under standard office conditions and voltage. Such a degausser i s required to declassify classified media and to sanitize non-operational SBU media. Per NCSC-TG-025 the degausser must be listed on the National Security Agency (NSA) Degausser Product List (DPL). The resultant award will include a CLIN breakdown as fol lows: 1) HD-6000 Cavity Degausser, 1 each, 2) 1 Year Maintenance Agreement for HD-6000 Degausser, 3) Six Months Certification for the HD-6000 Cavity Degausser with provisions for NSA directed periodic certification. Interested contractors must provide doc umentation to show that they are providing the brand name (HD-6000 Cavity Degausser). The provisions at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offers, Commercial, 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Co nditions, Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders, Commercial Items (in paragraph (b) the following clauses apply: 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37, 52.225-13, 5 2.232-36, DFAR 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders, Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items, the following apply: DFAR 252.225-7001, 252.225-7007. Clauses and provisions may be acce ssed in full text at http://farsite.af.mil. Proposals may be submitted in contractor format and shall include: (1) Company name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and Fax number; (2) Solicitation number, (3) Unit and extended prices for all CLIN S, (4) Prompt payment terms, (5) Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), Contractor DUNS Number and Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code. A completed copy of FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items must be submitte d with quote. Offerors responding to this announcement shall submit their quotes via email to mormongd@wsmr.army.mil. Quotes must be received by close of business April 12, 2002, in order to be considered by the Government. See Numbered Note 22.
