- NA The Army Telecommunications Directorate (ATD) has a requirement for nonpersonal services for local telephone exchange services at Miami, Florida for SOUTHCOM. The proposed contract is for a base year with four one-year options. The local exchange service s provider, certified by the state of Florida, shall provide local commercial communications service for SOUTHCOM, which shall include, as a minimum but not limited to, local access for commercial subscriber lines, local exchange access analog trunks, loca l exchange access digital trunks, and local exchange digital (ISDN PRI) trunk, directory number and number portability. All responsible sources may submit an offer that shall be considered. Sources responding to this requirement must indicate in writing, whether they are a large, small, disadvantaged and /or women-owned business. For this acquisition, a concern will be considered small under NAIC Codes 51331 and 51333 (formerly SIC code 4813) with size standard of 1500 employees. This requirement shall be a commercial fixed price type contract. The solicitation is anticipated to be released on or about April 8, 2002. The solicitation can be viewed and downloaded from the Army Single Face to Industry Acquisition Business Web Site. (a) A pre-proposal conference will be conducted at SOUTHCOM, Miami, Florida on April 30, 2002 at 9:00 AM in Miami Dade Fire and Rescue Building, Army Signal Activity, Room ?Area 202, 9300 NW 41st (36th) Street, Miami, Florida, 33178, for the purpose of answering questions regarding this solicitation. Upon arrival at the pre-proposal conference build ing offerors must call Richard Chaistain at (305) 437-1945 to gain admittance to the building. (b) The conference will be from 9:00-10:30 (approximately) and will be followed by a site visit from 10:30 ? 12:00. Those wishing to attend the conference shall submit a list of all attendees (not to exceed 3 per company) to Commander, Army Signal Comman d, ATTN: AFSC-LOO (Kim Wentrcek), Bldg 61801, Fort Huachuca, AZ 85613-5000, (520) 538-6115, kimberly.wentrcek@hqasc.army.mil prior to April 19, 2002. Additionally, for security purposes, attendees must be prepared to show photo identification. All co ntractual questions/issues must be directed to Ms. Kim Wentrcek at the above address. Bidders/Offerors are requested to submit questions to the point of contact noted above not later than April 19, 2002. Information provided at this conference shall not qualify the terms and conditions of the solicitation and specifications. .
