NA OFFADD: US Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District, (CENWW-CT), 201 North Third Avenue, Walla Walla, WA 99362-1876 SUBJECT: -- Draft Performance Based Service Contract for Operations and Maintenance of Lands Parks and Facilities at the Eastern Operating Area, Walla Walla District, USACE (Market Research) POC: D. Scott Shelley, Contracting Officer (509) 527-7208 DESC: The US Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District, is issuing a draft solicitation for the purpose of soliciting review (market research) comments from prospective offerors. The desire is to enhance the intended performance-based services approa ch to meeting this significant requirement. The eventual contract will be a performance-based-services contract (PBSC). It includes all work currently under contract and the large majority of work currently performed by hired labor maintenance staff. Th e scope of work encompasses operations and maintenance of visitor centers, public parks, habitat management units, and administrative support facilities. Other than custodial work and snow removal, no aspect of this contract will support operations and ma intenance of dams, hydropower or navigation facilities. The geographic span in this scope includes Little Goose, Lower Granite and Dworshak Dams and Reservoirs in Washington and Idaho. The following represents a summary of the salient work requirements: ? Maintaining and repairing buildings, equipment, floating plant and structures; ? Mowing grass and maintaining grounds, trees and shrubs and planter beds; ? Providing cleaning and maintaining portable toilets; ? Cleaning public use areas and operational facilities; ? Collecting, removing and disposing of refuse, debris and sewage; ? Maintaining swimming areas, docks and boat ramps; ? Maintaining walkways, trails, roads, guardrails and signs; ? Maintaining rip-rap; ? Controlling weeds, maintaining fences, meadows, pastures, fields, nesting structures and producing wildlife food plots and tree plantings.
