- Description
- This is a combined Synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The invitation for bid document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-06. This is a 100% set-aside for small business procurement. The Standard Industrial Code is ?421610?. The small business size is 100 employees. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Austin Automation Center (VAAAC), Austin, Texas intends to procure (new/remanufactured) the following assorted high voltage critical spare circuit breakers . The proposed circuit breakers must be a direct replacement for the existing installed circuit breakers and shall not require any modifications to electrical panels and/or equipment. All circuit breaker trip settings shall match the existing applicable circuit breakers currently in use, and shall include a testing and certification stamp for each circuit breaker. For quality control measures tThe Government reserves the right to request andto attend witness testing/certification of the circuit breakers prior to shipment. After contract award the bidder shall Contact David Lamb (512) 326-6602 for witness testing coordination. Contractor shall also supply to the VAAAC factory recommended torque settings for each of the bolts on the circuit breakers. The proposal shall include a site visit to ensure that correct circuit breaker replacement purchasing is achieved. Along with the circuit breaker purchase cost bid please provide an accurate delivery schedule. Shipment dates must be pre-approved prior to shipment of circuit breakers. (B) Reusable circuit breaker containers: All breakers shall be delivered in reusable circuit breaker containers. The container shall be designed to be lightweight, waterproof and reusable and constructed from corrulite (corrugated style plastic manufactured from high density polyethylene). Containers shall be constructed with plastic doughnut style footing to allow forklift access under container. Container shall be constructed of two separable halves that are fastened together with quick connect fittings attached to nylon strapping and equipped with metal fold down handles. Containers shall be sized appropriately to allow tight fit of circuit breakers. QTY: 20 ea (Note: Smaller circuit breakers may be grouped together and placed in an appropriate size container). . The following FAR clauses apply to this solicitation: A) FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors, Commercial Items with the addendums: 1) FAR 52.216-1 Type of Contract - ?The Government contemplates award of a firm fixed price single award contract resulting from this solicitation?; B). All offerors will be required to provide a completed copy of the provision FAR 52-212-3 Offeror Representations and Notifications-Commercial Items; C) FAR 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items with addendum: 1) FAR 52-219-6 Notice of Total Small Business Set-Aside, and 2) 52.211-6 Brand Name or Equal.; and FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Order-Commercial Items. The Standard Commercial Warranty is required. Offers shall be submitted within 10-days from the publication of this notice and shall be addressed to the attention of the Contracting Officer.
