Description
This pre-solicitation notice is issued by DOT/NHTSA headquarters for and on behalf of our field office, hence all inquiries/correspondence should be addressed to Ms. Robin Esser at the phone number and address provided. ------------------------------------------------------------------ The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Vehicle Research and Test Center (VRTC) requires the following MathWorks Products: MATLAB part MLALL, quantity of 4; MATLAB part SRML, quantity of 6; SIMULINK part SRSL, quantity of 1; Signal Processing part SGALL, quantity of 3; Statistics part STALL, quantity of 1; and Signal Processing part SRSG, quantity of 6; This software will be used in analysis of data generated in vehicle and anthropomorphic test dummy research. The required software are upgrades to current licenses, additional licenses for existing software and one new application (Statistics) that interacts with MATLAB. The Government intends to negotiate a firm-fixed-price contract with The Matchworks, Inc. for the purchase of this software. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) nor is an RFP available. Interested parties believing they are capable of providing this requirement must respond to this notice in writing within fifteen (15) days after its appearance on the Fed Biz Opps site (http://www.fedbizopps.gov). Interested parties must demonstrate proven capability to provide software that fully complies with the MATLAB software already in use. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement is solely within the discretion of the government. In the absence of responses within the specified time herein, negotiations on a sole source basis will commence with The MathWorks, Inc. *****
