Description
The National Cancer Institute(NCI), Radiation Oncology Branch, (ROB), Center for Cancer Research plans on procuring services from Nucletron Corp, 7080 Columbia Gateway Drive, Columbia, MD 21046 for Maintenance Services for a Microselectron High Dose Rate V Remote Afterloading System(Nucletron Corp). ROB requires a qualified maintenance service which includes preventative maintenance, Ir192 source changes, and emergency repair services for the following equipment: Nucletron High Dose Rate V2 Remote Afterloading System and Nucletron PLATO treatment planning software. Nuceltron Corp. is uniquely qualified to perform the necessary maintenance for this equipment. Nucletron will provide via this contract maintenance services for the aforementioned equipment. The period of performacne will be for 1 year and shall include four(4)option years if exercised. Nucletron is the only known source to the NCI researcher(s) that can provide such services to the aforementioned system. This notice is not a request for competitive quotation. However, if any interested party believes it can perform the above requirement, it may submit a statement of capabilities. The capability statement and any other furnished material must be in writing and must contain material in sufficient detail to allow NCI to determine if the party can perform this requirement. Capability statements must be received in the contracting office by 1:30 PM E.S.T. (local Washington, DC time) on April 23, 2002. This action is pursuant to 41 USC 253(1) and under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. If you have any questions, please contact Cynthia Brown, Purchasing Agent, (301) 402-4509. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No collect calls will be accpeted.
