Description
The solicitation will be issued electronically on the FEDBIZOPPS web page on or about April 22, 2002 at http://www.eps.gov/. Please sign up for the Auto Notification service to receive an e-mail from FEDBIZOPPS when an action is taken under this solicitation. Hard copies of the solicitation will be provided only upon request. Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform drydock repairs to the USCGC PENDENT (WYTL-65608) including but not limited to the following Base and Option items: (1) Welding Repairs (2) Clean and Inspect Diesel Fuel Tank, (3) Clean and Inspect Sewage Holding Tank, (4) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Propeller Shaft, (5) Renew Shaft Covering, (6) Renew Water-Lubricated Shaft Bearings, (7) Renew Shaft Sleeves, (8) Renew Propeller, (9) Clean and Test Grid Coolers and Lube Oil Cooler, (10) Preserve Transducer Hull Ring(s) and Renew the V850 Depth Indicating Transducer, (11) Overhaul and Renew Valves (12) Inspect and Test Air Receivers and Relief Valves, (13) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Rudder Assembly, (14) Inspect Various Deck Fittings, (15) Preserve Diesel Fuel Tank, (16) Preserve and Disinfect Potable Water Tanks, (17) Preserve Sewage Holding Tank, (18) Preserve Weather Decks, (19) Preserve Underwater Body, (20) Preserve Freeboard, (21) Provide Temporary Berthing, (22) Provide Temporary Logistics, (23) Routine Drydocking, (24) Renew Logitudal Stringer in Engine Room, (25) Renew Sewage Riser, (26) Renew Handrails and Stanchions, (27) Renew Deck in Stack Fan Space, (28) Inspect and Renew Metal on Main Deck, (29) Renew Deck Covering System (30) GFP report in accordance with solicitation Section H (31) Composite Labor Rate, (32) Laydays. The vessel is a 65 Foot Ice Breaking Harbor Tub. Vessel's homepier is located at 427 Commercial Street, Boston, MA 02109-1027. All repairs are to be performed at the contractor?s facility. The performance period is forty-two (42) calendar days beginning on or about July 15, 2002. Funds are available for this procurement. All reference documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA 23510-9102. Drawings are now available on CD-ROM. The CD-ROM sets are available for all cutters and will be free of charge to contractors upon request [ten days from solicitation issuance]. MLCA must have ten (10) days advance notice to complete a CD-ROM set of drawings. The CD-ROM(s) contain WINDOWS compliant raster/vector formats (e.g.*.DWF, etc). Drawings are still available in hardcopy; however, a non-refundable charge of $150.00 is required in the form of a certified check or money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested drawings. This procurement is subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All businesses, large and small, are encouraged to submit offers for subject requirements. Plans and specifications will be issued on or about March 04, 2002. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard. "Attention: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE's)! The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
