This is a combined synopsis / solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This procurement is being offered for a Best Value Procurement, with a small business size standard of $5.0 million. Services required: coinless vending machine sale of products for the inmate population at the Federal Correctional Complex, Lompoc, California. Debit card specifications for vending operations: a computer peripheral device designed to operate as a debit card system for coinless vending operations will be required. Profit will be at a minimum of 18% for all vended items. Anticipated Award date for RFQ #617-0067-2 is May 30, 2002, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunitites web site: http://www.fedbizopps.gov/.
