Description
THIS MODIFICATION CHANGES THE RESPONSE DATE TO 04/16/2002 BY CLOSE OF BUSINESS (4:30 PM). The solicitation is being procured as a Commercial Item as per Parts 12 and 13 of the FAR. The intent of the solicitation is to provide and sell tickets/passes to visitors who wish to access the Reds Meadow/Devil Postpile area. The project is located on the Inyo National Forest, Mammoth/Mono Lake Ranger Districts. The entrance to Reds Meadow is located at th end of State Hwy 203. The town of Mammoth Lakes is located on State Hwy 203, accessed from the scenic Highway 395 corridor. The town of Mammoth Lakes is approximately 45 miles north of Bishop, California and approximately 180 miles south of Reno, Nevada. Contractor ticket sales shall start on 6/1, and end on 10/15, 2002. There will be two option periods of 6/1 through 10/15/2003 and 6/1 through 10/15/2004. Elements of the system that the ticket sales contractor is expected to provide: The contractor shall provide a fully computerized system which tracks all passes sold (by category), and capable of producing a daily financial statement. The contractor shall provide cash handling and security, including bank deposit services at Bank of America in Mammoth Lakes. Sales outlet(s): The primary sales outlet is to be located at the Mammoth Mountain Main Lodge base area. Contractor should provide at least two computerized cash registers and staff. Printing of passes/tickets: the system shall provide numbered card-stock passes which can be electronically scanned into a computerized system which provides accountability. The package will be available approximately March 21, 2002 and responses are due on April 9, 2002 by close of business (4:30 pm).
