- Description
- The USDA Forest Service is developing conservation assessments for several rare amphibian species in cooperation with other Federal agencies, State agencies, universities, and research scientists. The assessments will synthesize the best available information (including life history, habitat associations, and risk factors) and identify occupied and unoccupied habitats essential for the conservation of this species. The assessments are scheduled for completion by December 31, 2002. To achieve the objectives for the assessments within this deadline, the Forest Service is requesting assistance from experts in the field of herpetology to develop the conservation assessments. The Forest Service is particularly seeking expertise from those who have conducted research on the Cascades frog (Rana cascadae), northern leopard frog (Rana pipiens), Yosemite toad (Bufo canorus), and foothill yellow-legged frog (Rana boyleii). The NAICS code is 924120. This is a full and open competition. This is an electronic solicitation only. All documents will be posted on fedbizopps.gov for download from this web site exclusively. The solicitation is expected to be issued on/or about April 8, 2002.
