Description
NA The Coastal Systems Station, Panama City, Florida has a requirement for the development, test, and qualification of 40 Airborne Mine Countermeasures (AMCM) Control Display Units (CDU). The CDU shall provide an operator with an interface to, and communicate with, an Airborne GPS and Precise Navigation Systems. The U.S. Navy, AMCM community is presently using an outdated, 1980?s vintage CRT based CDU. The Navy wants to replace the existing CDU with up to date supportable units. The CDU shall be a commercial off the shelf (COTS) microprocessor-based display and control unit. The CDU will function as a cockpit video data display terminal with a keypad input device for a helicopter platform. The CDU will be designed to interface directly to the MK-86 Navigation Director via an RS-422 communication cable. Delivery of the CDUs will be within 180 days after contract award. A technical proposal is required. Requests for the solicitation shall be referred to hinesmf@ncsc.navy.mil. Requests should include the prospective offeror's Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code, email address, point of contact and telephone number. Telephone requests will not be accepted. Solicitation will be available for download on or about 5/1/2002. Solicitations and any Amendments may be downloaded from www.ncsc.navy.mil/contracts/Ztables/syntable.htm. Solicitations or Amendments will not be mailed to offerors. Therefore, it's incumbent upon the potential offeror to be cognitive of the CSS Internet for all releases.
