- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command intends to convert RDT&E Engineering Program Descriptions (EPDs) tasks under CLIN 0001 to a completion of task effort. These tasks are currently being performed by Rolls-Royce under the Component Improvement Program (CIP) contract N00019-01-C-0001 in support of the AV-8B Pegasus (F402) engine. CIP provides engineering and support services to maintain systems effectiveness and optimize the affordable readiness of the AV-8B Pegasus (F402) engine. The period or performance shall be 1 February 2002 through completion of tasks. Rolls-Royce is the sole manufacturer of the F402 series engines and the only firm with the requisite knowledge and expertise to perform the effort. See Note No. 22.*****
