Description

NA The work of this project consists of maintenance dredging of the Scituate Harbor Federal Navigation Channel and anchorage areas. The work will provide a 12 foot deep entrance channel, a 10 foot deep harbor channel, a 10 foot deep and a 8 foot deep outer h arbor anchorage basin, and a 10 foot deep inner harbor anchorage basin at Mean Lower Low Water (MLLW). The silt and clay dredge material shall be removed using a mechanical dredge and scows. All material dredged from the Harbor shall be disposed of at th e Massachusetts Bay Disposal Site (MBDS) approximately 15 nautical miles from the project. The work shall be sequenced and silt curtains may be utilized to minimize the potential effects the dredging may have on local eelgrass and mussel beds. About 260, 000 cubic yards of material will be dredged. The estimated cost of the work is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Work shall be completed within 196 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Solicitation shall be available on or about 19 A pril 2002. This solicitation is issued on an unrestricted basis. The applicable NAICS code for this acquisition is 234990 with a Small Business Size Standard of $17,000,000.00.
