Description

Provide refurbished, self-shielded, high dose rate, research irradiator to ARS Laboratory, Honolulu, HI. Brand name: Gammacell Excel 220 type or equal. The salient characteristics are: Minimum 3.5L chamber size, Cobalt 60 (sealed) source, minimum 12,000 ci, maximum 24,000 ci. Central dose rate 10-20 kGy/hr. Certification of source, calibration curves and dose distribution curves. Self-shielded type with external surface radiation below ANSI-N433-1 specification (Typically 10 to <20 mrem/hr.) Uniform dose distribution 110 V or 220 V AC 3 phase, 60 HZ power. Primary electronic timers with independent backup timer and manual backup in case of power failure. Start/delay timer. Indicator status lights for all functions. One-year warranty. Price includes shipping from supplier to purchaser facilities in Honolulu, HI; all rigging costs and typical set-up at location; installation and verification of good working condition; and user and maintenance training on-site (Honolulu, HI) for up to four individuals. Contractor must submit copy of current radioactive materials license authorizing Contractor to possess, transport and install irradiator. Descriptive literature required. Period of performance approximately 120 days. References required to demonstrate refurbished product providing at least 2 years continuous service. NAICS code 334517.
