Description
Amendment No. A003 to EMV-2002-RQ-0011 is issued to clarify the Government's requirements, to change the award requirements and to establish a new date for receipt of responses to the Request for Quotation (RFQ). The Government will make only one award under this RFQ. The successful Contractor will be required to furnish the specified 1 EA Vertex fly-away antenna system (or approved equal). The successful Contractor will also be required to furnish the 2 EA Quick Disconnect Waveguide Kits. One of the Waveguide Kits will be installed on the fly-away antenna system prior to the Contractor shipping the antenna system to the Government. The second waveguide kit will be used by the Contractor to modify the Government's existing 2.4 Meter Seavey antenna. The cost of installing the waveguide kit onto the new fly-away antenna system and the cost of modifying the Government's existing Seavey antenna will be submitted as a separate line item pricing element by offerors. The proposed hourly labor rate(s) and the number of hours associated with the installing/modifying of the antenna systems and any material costs required by the Contractor for the installing/modifying shall be so identified and included in the line item pricing. The Government will ship the appropriate section of the Seavey antenna to the Contractor and the Contractor shall install the waveguide kit on the Seavey antenna and ship said modified antenna back to the Government. The Government will be responsible for shipping charges associated with the Seavey antenna being shipped to the Contractor. The successful Contractor shall be responsible for all other shipping costs. However, if the successful Contractor fails to correctly install the waveguide kit onto the Seavey antenna and the Government has to re-ship the antenna back to the Contractor for correction, the Contractor shall be responsible for all associated shipping cost, to and from the Contractor's facility. The Government reiterates the information contained in Amendment No. A002 to RFQ EMV-2002-RQ-0011, dated 3/6/02....The Government desires the waveguide kit to be the type which extends the waveguide run to the end of the reflector and then includes a section of twist flex W/G to extend to an equipment case on the ground. Information contained in the original RFQ and Amendments A001 and A002 still apply to this RFQ unless superceded by the information contained in this A003. The revised receipt for responses to this RFQ is 4/12/02, 3:30 PM/EST.
