- EPA intends to issue a contract for quality assurnace (QA) support for The Office of Research and Development (ORD), the National Risk Management Research Laboratory (NRMRL). This solicitation is a total small business set-aside. The NAICS is 541717. The size standard is 500 employees. ORD through its Laboratories and Centers and NRMRL, inparticular, conducts laboratory, pilot plant, and field investigations involving many subdisciplines of chemistry, biology, physics and engineering for all media (air, water, and solids). The Contractor shall provide technical quality system support to the NRMRL or other ORD Laboratories or Centers as described in written task orders issued by the Contracting Officer (CO) in the following support areas: Document and Product Reviews; Activity Reviews; Technical Quality Development and Support; and Quality Studies. This contract will support EPA in implementing the most current version of EPA Order 5360.1 (available at: www.epa.gov/quality/qa_docs.html). It therefore supports environmental programs that encompass the collection, evaluation, and use of environmental data and the design, construction, and operation of environmental technology Research projects may include any technology or technological area that has application to research areas of interest to NRMRL and ORD. An indefinite delivery/indefinite qualtity (ID/IQ) contract will be awarded. The ordering period will be five years. The solicitation will be issued about 4/17/02 and will be available only via the EPA OAM web site at: www.epa.gov/oam/cinn_cmd
