NA For all available information on this and all other current Seattle District Corps of Engineers projects, visit the Advertised Solicitations page of the Seattle District web site at http://www.nws.usace.army.mil/ct. The upcoming solicitation for this proje ct will be Web Only. This means that plans and specifications will be issued electronically via the Seattle District website at the approximate date of December 13, 2001. No Compact Discs will be mailed to register ed planholders, however, prospective bidd ers must register at: http://www.nws.usace.army.mil/ct to be notified via e-mail of changes and/or amendments to the solicitation. The Seattle District is soliciting proposals for an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) Contract for remediation of residenti al yard properties and other areas consisting of adjacent/common areas, road shoulder, and non-residential properties. The primary components of the work for residential yards will include removal of metals contaminated soils, placement of a visual marker in some cases, transportation and placement of the excavated soils in a soil repository, and restoration of the residential properties. The primary components of the work for other areas will include removal of contaminated soil, transportation and place ment of excavated soils in a repository, and capping of contaminated soil with gravel, soil, or pavements. Contractor Personnel will be required to comply with requirements as identified in 29 CFR 1910.120, Safety and Health for Hazardous Waste Sites and 29 CFR 1926.62, Lead in Construction Standard. The purpose is to augment District expertise with technical and logistical support including intern and entry level technical aid in all disciplines; execution of established field and laboratory sampling and data collection protocols; logistical support for field studies; literature searches; telephone inquiries; basic drafting, development of visual aids and photography. Proposed procurement will result in a firm fixed price indefinite-delivery/indefinite- quantity (ID/IQ) contract including a base year plus two option years; the maximum ordering amount shall not exceed $2,000,000 per year or a total of $6,000,000 over the life of the contract. This requirement is 100% Set Aside for HUBZONE Small Business C oncerns. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 562910 and the Standard Industry Classification Code (SIC) is 1799 with size standard of $12.0 million. This solicitation will be issued as an Electronic Bid Set (EBS) on Seattle D istrict U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Contracting Web page in electronic format only. No disks will be mailed. Firms must register via the Internet at the following address: http://www.nws.usace.army.mil/ct/ in order to receive notification about amendmen ts. The solicitation will be available for download on or about 19 April 2002.
