Description
NA Introduction. The Project Manager, Milsatcom (PM Milsatcom), is conducting Market Research to identify sources capable of meeting the Government?s requirements for Lightweight Multi-band Satellite Terminals (LMST) spare parts. We request that capable sources provide detailed information about products meeting the identified technical and schedule requirements. We have a requirement for 5 up converters, and 15 down converters, with a required delivery date of 30 days ARO. The p arts must be form fit functional replacements of the parts presently in the LMST, the part numbers shown below are the exact parts in the LMST. The detailed technical requirements for the parts shown below. Down Converter: Harris Part No. 3021879-001 Quantity: 15ea IF Frequency. 50-90 MHz RF Frequency. 3625-4200 MHz (C-band) 7250-7750 MHz (X-band) 10.95-12.75 GHz (Ku-band) Tunability. 1 kHz steps in each band . Frequency Stability. The total rms fractional frequency deviation introduced on the received carrier by the receiver group shall not exceed the following: Short Term (0.1 sec) +/- 1E-10 Long Term (24 hours) +/- 1E-09 Spectral Purity. The total spurious content of any translated carrier, including phase noise and discrete spurious signals shall be as follows: a. C-band: In accordance with IESS-309, Paragraph 4.3.3.2 b. X-band Continuous Component (single-sided): -35 dBc/Hz offset 10 Hz from the carrier -65 dBc/Hz offset 100 Hz from the carrier -75 dBc/Hz offset 1 kHz from the carrier -85 dBc/Hz offset 10 kHz from the carrier -95 dBc/Hz offset 100 kHz from the carrier -95 dBc/Hz offset 1 MHz from the carrier c. Ku-band: In accordance with IESS-309, Paragraph 4.3.3.2 Phase Perturbations. The downconverter shall not change the phase of any carrier by a rate more than 20 degrees per 200 millisecond time period, as measured at the output, under the following conditions: a. Vibration with an input frequency varied between 50 Hz and 2000 Hz with constant input force of 1.5 g (peak). b. Change in ambient temperature of +/- 22 degrees C from a nominal 23 degrees C. Temperature change shall be continuous at a rate of 22 degrees C per hour. External Frequency Standard. The downconverter shall accept an external input from the frequency distribution subsystem (Frequency Standard). Up converter: Harris Part no. 3021880-001 Quantity: 5ea IF Frequency. 50-90 MHz RF Frequency. 5850-6425 MHz (C-band) 7900-8400 MHz (X-band) 14.0-14.5 GHz (Ku-band) Tunability. 1 kHz steps in each band. Frequency Stability. The total rms fractional frequency deviation introduced on the transmitted carrier by the transmitter group shall not exceed the following: Short Term (0.1 sec) +/- 1E-10 Long Term (24 hours) +/- 1E-09 Spectral Purity. The total spurious content of any translated carrier, including phase noise and discrete spurious signals shall be as follows: a. C-band: In accordance with IESS-309, Paragraph 4.3.3.1 b. Ku-band: In accordance with IESS-309, Paragraph 4.3.3.1 Phase Perturbations. The upconverter shall not change the phase of any carrier by a rate more than 20 degrees per 200 millisecond time period, as measured at the output, under the following conditions: a. Exter nal Frequency Standard. The upconverter shall accept an external input from the frequency distribution subsystem (Frequency Standard). All information shall be be submitted no later than 17 April 2002, 2:30 P.M.
