- Description
- The government intends to enter into a sole source agreement to extend Contract Number F05604-96-C-9004 with PRC Inc./Logicon (Northrop Grumman Information Technology) to Operate, Maintain, and Logistically Support (OM&S) the Ground-Based Electro-Optical Deep-Space Surveillance System (GEODSS) from 1 Oct 02 to 30 Sep 03. This action is required to align and consolidate the GEODSS and Perimeter Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization System (PARCS) acquisition (F05604-01-R-9003) into the same projected start date of 1 Oct 2003. Offerors wishing to receive information on this requirement must submit their request in writing to the Contracting Officer by 20 May 02. This requirement is for 24 hour, 7 days-per-week non-personal services in support of the 18 SPSS Detachments at Socorro, New Mexico; Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT); and Maui, Hawaii. GEODSS fulfills the requirements for deep space and near earth space surveillance in support of the Space Surveillance Network. Contract services include, but are not limited to, overall program management, training, site operations such as collection of metrics observations and Space Object Identification data, communications, computer operations, level II software support, communications-electronics maintenance, supply support, civil engineering support, environmental management, security, transportation and safety. Performance will be for a 12-month period (01 Oct 02 to 30 Sep 03) by extending the current contract.
