- Description
- The purpose of this notice is to notify all interested parties of a Pre-Solicitation Conference to address issues and concerns regarding the Repair of the Compressed Air System in Bldg 83 and Bldg 83 Addition on Robins AFB. This project will involve the following: (1) Relocate 6 exiting compressors and construct new air compressor plant, (2) Repair approximately 2000 CFM in air leaks, (3) Provide new compressed air distribution system which is comprised of about 7,500 LF of 10" stainless steel (or 12" SDR 7.3 polyethylene), (4) Install about 50% of the system by directional drilling methods, and (5) Construct 2,400 square foot addition to Bldg 83 mechanical room for air compressor plant. The conference will be held on 16 Apr 02 in Building 376, Room 404. Unless you already possess the proper pass to obtain entrance to Robins AFB, you will need to report to the Visitors Gate (Gate 2) for processing. In order to facilitate your entry, please notify the point of contact identified below that you will be attending. The technical documents are available for your review with this notice. It is essential that all potential attendees review these documents thoroughly before attending the conference. A visit to the construction site will be included in the conference. It is anticipated this requirement will be solicited under full and open competition using the Technically Acceptable-Performance Price Tradeoff (TAPPT) method. A Draft Request for Proposal (DRFP) will be issued on or around 9 Apr 02 for your review and comment. It is our intention to award a firm fixed price contract in accordance with FAR 15 where past performance will play a significant role. The magnitude of this project is $1,000,000 - $5,000,000. Estimated date for release of final Request for Proposals (RFPs) is on or around 3 May 02 with a closing date on or around 4 Jun 02. Your participation in this conference is strictly voluntary. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS nor does the Government intend to pay for any information obtained during the conference or for the time or expense of the industry participants involved.
