- Description
- The USDA Forest Service, Rocky Mountain Region, has a requirement to Masticate two areas in Douglas County. Area 1 is approximately one mile Northeast of Deckers, Colorado, and Area 2 is also in Douglas County approximately ten miles southwest of Sedalia, Colorado. The end result of this contract will be reduced tree density and openings for Area 1 of the contract and reduce Gambel oak and conifer tree density for Area 2. This contract requires treatment of vegetation and related work in compliance with its terms, specifications, and provisions. This includes furnishing labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals. LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION The total treatment area is up to approximately 1029 acres in two separate items. When proposals are requested a proposal can be submitted for either or both items. 213 initial acres with an optional 644 additional acres east of Trumbull, Colorado 172 acres on Russell Ridge.
