- Subject solicitation will be issued on a Negotiated - Unrestricted basis for a Definite quantity utilizing the Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable Source Selection Process. Item: Lining, Helmet, Shock Absorbing (Bladder Assembly Kit). Design Control Reference Numbers: F148-1206 and 89D7662. National Stock Number: 8475-01-321-1542(s). Quantity: 2,387 ea. There will be one base year quantity. No option quantities are applicable. Eight deliveries with a Production Leadtime of 180 days will be required. Destination is New Cumberland, PA and San Joaquin, CA. all materials will be contractor furnished. See numbered notes 9 and 23. First Articles will be required. These items require engineering source approval by the design control activity at Brooks Air Force Base in order to maintain the quality of the item. If interested in learning the procedures necessary to be added as an approved source, please contact Mr. Alex Slate at Brooks Air Force Base at 210-536-3078. All sources will be evaluated in accordance with Brooks AFB's procedures for officially adding a new source to the source controlled document. Solicitation to be issued on or about January 11,2002. On September 30, 2001, copies of RFPs/IFBs/RFQs from the DSCP Clothing and Textiles Directorate began to be distributed to industry by e-mail notification only through the Procurement Gateway at http://progate.daps.mil/home. In order to download these RFPs and to receive e-mail notices of these solicitations you must register with the USER PROFILE feature of the Gateway. In order to ensure E-mail notification of RFPs, prospective vendors MUST go to the RFP Information page and select DSCP clothing & Textiles as the commodity center from which notices will be sent. The Gateway will send all registered users an E-mail notification of new RFP solicitation based on your Commodity Center Profile and RFQ solicitations based on your FSC and NSN profile. The RFP and NSN notifications will also contain a link that can connect users directly to a digital copy of the solicitation on the Internet. The solicitations will be in a downloadable, printable format when viewed with an Adobe Acrobat Reader. Free software is available at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readermain.html.
