Description

The Navy is soliciting on a sole source basis to General Dynamics Decision Systems/Scottsdale, Az a requirement to upgrade current Digital Modular Radios (DMRs) to implement Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) Software Core Architecture Version 2.2. Upgrading DMR to JTRS SCA 2.2 allows DMR to utilize waveforms developed by the JTRS Joint Program Office (JPO). Requirement consists of two phases. The first phase will consist of non-recurring engineering to develop, test and validate the contractors technical approach to JTRS SCA 2.2 upgrade. The second phase will require the contractor to deliver JTRS SCA 2.2 upgrade kits for DMR to include the software. Additional requirements include updates to DMR technical manuals and data deliverables to include data rights to the upgrade software. It is anticipated work will commene 4th quarter FY02 and conclude 2nd quarter FY04. See numbered note 22.
