- Description
- Provide all necessary labor, supervision, materials and equipment necessary to rebuild the marine railway at USCG Station Kenosha, Wisconsin. Major items of work include the following: 1.1 Provide and install temporary sheet piling as necessary to de-water and accomplishment marine railway extension and repair work. 1.2 Demolish and remove the marine rails, timber framing and exterior timber deck boards as shown. Removal of timber framing and decking within the boathouse shall be included within the limits indicated. 1.3 Provide and drive timber piles along the exterior portion shown including railway extension foundation piles. Piles shall be driven to full depth and properly aligned for connection to new and existing timberwork. Minimum capacity of piles shall be 12 tons. 1.4 Drive spliced timber piles within the boathouse as indicated. Piles shall be driven in sections and spliced as required for equipment to access the boathouse. Approximate headroom in boathouse is approximately 12 feet. Auger type or steel foundation piles may be used in lieu of timber sections provided that specified piles capacity are obtained. 1.5 Rebuild the timber railway by constructing new bent caps attached to the new piles, placing and installing new timber stringers and installing new deck boards. Timberwork shall include the extension of the marine railway and deck extension to limits shown. All drilling and connections using fasteners as indicated or required shall be included. 1.6 Work associated with these items is described in the following specification secions and/or is shown on the contract drawings. Incidental work items not listed above and necessary for completing the project shall be included. All work to be performed at USCG Station Kenosha, WI. The period of performance is 120 days after Notice to Proceed. This procurement is estimated between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00 and is open to both small and large businesses in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The NAICS code for this procurement is 234990. Due dates for bids will be not less than 30 days after bid issuance. NO TELEPHONE OR WRITTEN REQUESTS.
