- Description
- The objective of this National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) requirement is to document the types of activities of the (Medical Advisory Board)MABs in all 50 States and the District of Columbia. The contractor shall conduct in-depth investigations of the MABs of no fewer than 10 States. Documentation will include barriers to effective MAB performance, as well as potential near-team changes to MAB practices. Cost considerations of any changes will be included, as they play significant role in whether or not changes are undertaken. The contractor shall document basic practices of the Medical Advisory Boards of all 50 States and the District of Columbia. A subset of States will be selected for in-depth study, particularly with regard to how the MAB operates with respect to older referred drivers. The contractor shall document these practices, and shall prepare a short ?best practices? section of the final report. The contractor shall also present this information to staff at NHTSA headquarters. It is anticipated that a Cost ?Type Simplified Acquisitions will be awarded for this effort. The period of performance is 15 months after effective date of award. Request for this solicitation must in writing . The anticipated issued date of the solicitation is on or about April 30, 2002
