- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons has a requirement for a design and all related professional Architect/Engineering services necessary to improve the overall site security at the Federal Correctional Complex (FCC) Florence, Colorado. The project includes all related professional services required for the site security improvements, including, but not limited to: site grading and drainage, road and paving additions, fencing, lighting, and a new guard tower. Services consist of performing an environmental assessment; the development of construction documents; specifications; cost estimates; life cycle cost analysis; bidding; construction administration; inspection; and mediation between the Bureau of Prisons and any applicable governing agencies for a project of this type. Architect/Engineering services consist of; the development of construction documents; specifications; cost estimates; life cycle cost analysis; bidding; construction administration; inspection; and mediation between the Bureau of Prisons and any applicable governing agencies for a project of this type. The estimated cost of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 dollars. Consideration will be limited to firms licensed to practice in the State of Colorado and located within a 200-mile radius of Florence, Colorado. Selection of firms to be interviewed will be based on the following evaluation factors: Firm's Capacity and Capability (30%), Proposed Project Team and Organization (40%), and Experience and Past Performance (30%). Anticipated award of A/E contract is June/July 2002. Firms responding to this notice within 30 calendar days of the date of notice will be considered.
