- Description
- This project is for approximately 263 acres of pre-commercial thinning in conifer reproduction of approximately 27 years of age. Two items will be part of a Young Growth Adaptive Management study including pruning, girdling in addition to thinning. Three items will have a wildlife emphasis including gaps, travel corridors and girdling. The time for this project will be 300 days. The project located on the southeast end of Chichagof Island in the Lindenberg Harbor area on the north shore of Peril Strait approximately 30 air miles northeast of Sitka. The project area can be reached by boat but the milage will be significantly greater.The solicitation will be posted to the FedBizOpps website on or about April 11, 2002 for viewing and printing. Potential offerors are requested to obtain the solicitation via the Internet if possible. Alternatively, a hard copy of the solicitation documents may be requested via fax at 907.228.6254. Fax requests should reference solicitation R10-05-02-18 Telephone requests will not be honored. Offers will be due approximately 30 calendar days after the solicitation issue date.
