- Description
- This project is for pre-commercial thinning of approximately 330 acres of conifer reproduction, approximately 15 to 25 years old. Two of the seven items in the solicitation will part of a Young-Growth Adaptive Mgt. study. The remaining 5 items will be a Timber emphasis thinning prescription. Contract time will be for 185 days. The work is located on the Juneau Ranger District on the south end of the Chilkat Peninsula approximately 40 air miles west of Juneau, 12 miles north of Hoonah, and 12 miles southeast of Gustavus. All items can be reached by boat, however the milage will be significantly greater.The solicitation will be posted to the FedBizOpps website on or about April 11, 2002 for viewing and printing. Potential offerors are requested to obtain the solicitation via the Internet if possible. Alternatively, a hard copy of the solicitation documents may be requested via fax at 907.228.6254. Fax requests should reference solicitation R10-05-02-17 Telephone requests will not be honored. Offers will be due approximately 30 calendar days after the solicitation issue date.
