- Description
- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound (FISCPS) is soliciting for portable freezer/cooler container van(s), which shall utilize an HFC refrigerant. Refrigerant with an ODS (Ozone Depleting Substance) is not acceptable. The portable freezer/cooler unit(s) shall be designed for both freezing and cooling capabilities, and shall be suitable for operation in an outdoor marine industrial environment. The unit(s) shall be designed for field maintenance and service. The freezer/cooler container van shall be designed for continuous operation and reliable performance in the specified environment. The Freezer/cooler units will be located either indoors or outdoors at Bremerton, Washington. The container van body shall be no larger than 20 feet long by 8 feet wide by 8 feet 6 inches high. The container van shall be steel and have skid pockets for lifting with forklift and certified padeyes (or equal) for lifting with crane. The available input voltage is 460 vac, 3 phase, 60 Hz. The freezer/cooler unit shall be suitable for operation in an outdoor marine environment, at variable ambient temperatures of 10 degrees F to + 104 degrees F with humidities of up to 100 percent in a salt and dust laden atmosphere, and wind driven rain, sleet and snow. Quantity 2 each, place of delivery is Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Bremerton, WA. Delivery desired by 30 Aug 02. The unrestricted commercial solicitation will be issued on or about 15 Apr 02 with a closing date of 03 May 02. When issued, the RFQ will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link www.neco.navy.mil. All offerors shall check the website periodically for the posting of the solicitation. Please do not call with questions regarding the posting of the solicitation on NECO until after the posting date, 15 Apr 02. All offerors wishing to submit an offer are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ from this website and to frequently monitor the site for any amendments to the RFQ. No telephone or fax requests for the RFQ package will be accepted. An email request to monique_a_klose@puget.fisc.navy.mil will be accepted in the event an offeror experiences problems downloading the RFQ from the NECO website. No bidders list will be maintained by this office. No paper copies of the RFQ / amendments will be mailed. Failure to respond to the electronically posted RFQ and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of quotes may render your quote nonresponsive and result in rejection of the same. To be procured using commercial Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 12. After an initial evaluation of proposals, FISC Puget Sound intends to conduct an online, anonymous, competitive reverse auction to be facilitated by a third-party reverse auction provider (www.govauctions.procuri.com). The government reserves the right to award on initial offers as submitted. This is a private reverse auction and only those offerors deemed technically capable of providing the items stated will be invited to participate in the online reverse auction. In order to establish a competitive range, offerors are required to submit initial pricing and technical literature prior to the closing date of the Request for Quotation (RFQ). Offerors are also requested to register at www.govauctions.procuri.com prior to the closing date of the solicitation. Submission of a quote in response to the RFQis considered consent by the offeror to reveal their prices in anonymity during the reverse auction. For additional terms and conditions of the reverse auction, go to ?Usage Guidelines? in the Procuri website. For first time users, after determining that you are in the competitive range, training will be given to you by Procuri prior to the start of the reverse auction.
