- Description
- This requirement will be negotiated solely with Talley Defense Systems, Incorporated, 4051 N. Higley Road, P. O. Box 34299, Mesa, AZ 85277-4299. The information required under the proposed contract is specific to the characteristics of the MRO Tomahawk Payload Structure weapons bay closure concepts, which only Talley Defense Systems can provide. The effort includes providing input to the Mission Response Ordnance (MRO) Payload Group by providing design information/testing regarding the MRO Tomahawk Payload Structure weapons bay closure concepts including: (a) conduct two proof of principle tests of weapon bay closure concepts; (b) furnish test facility; (c) provide high speed video coverage; (d) provide instrumentation to include data reduction, and (e) provide documentation on concept buildup and test video. The contractor shall participate as an MRO Payload IPT member by d esigning and fabricating test hardware to support MRO Payload Structure weapons bay closure tests. Such design and fabrication to include: (a) design and fabricate gas generator, gas transfer tube, ejection bag, and the closure mechanism two proof of principle tests of weapon bay closure concepts; (b) furnish test facility; (c) provide high speed video coverage; (d) provide instrumentation to include data reduction; and (e) provide documentation of concept buildup and test video. The period of performance is one year. Interested parties other than Talley must be able to demonstrate in writing by 12 April 2002, their capability to provide the requested services.
