Description
Amendment 0001 has been issued to the combined/synopsis solicitation, number N00259-02-T-0025, posted on 3/11/02 to the statement of work (SOW). Under REQUIREMENTS SECTION: Paragraph 1, An associate's B.A./B.S. degree in science with relevant laboratory/research experience or equivalent education in research and managing clinical trials. Paragraph 2, Ability to communicate orally and in writing using grammatically correct English. Must be able to communicate effective surgery term, locations and pre-operative instructions with patients in busy clinic setting. Knowledge of grammar, spelling, capitalization, and punctuation to process a variety of correspondence accurately. Paragraph 3, A basic knowledge of Navy and Marine Corps rank and military customs and courtesy preferrable. Prior military experience also preferred, but not required. Paragraph 9, The contractor shall comply with the medical staff rules, regulations and bylaws related to clinical practice as promulgated by the Medical Treatment Facility Commander and the nationwide standards of practice of the Opthalmology specialty. The contractor shall have knowledge of Opthalmology diagnoses and treatment ( medical, pharmacological and surgical). The contractor shall also be able to interpret clinic notes to include visual acuities, refractions, and anterior/posterior segment pathology. A new closing date has been established on 28 Mar 2002.
